Matthew J. Bowerman is an actor/writer/arts educator/choreographer and director known for his theatrical work in the recent DC/NYC productions of Children of the April Rain by Bill Doty (as Ross/Director) and the NYC cast/original MD Cast of The Awesome 80's Prom by Ken Davenport (Lead/Swing). TV/Film include: Thespian (2017), The Night Watchmen (2015), One Penny (2015) and My One and Only (2009). He has roles on House of Cards, VEEP and various commercials.

Matthew is the recipient of a national EMMY Award for Best Educational Short (Writer/Co-Director), as well as a CINE Golden Eagle for "Bus-STOP" (2008) addressing the crisis of bullying in public schools, and a 2008 TELE for Best Educational Host (BCPL Storyville 2). When not performing, he is a Special Education/Theatre teacher, as well as a private acting/dance/vocal coach. Matthew has developed arts education collaborations nationally and internationally, writes for multiple publications, and also directs/choreographs for Film and Theatre.
